Water
Many locations in Asia are experiencing water stress resulting in tariff increases and constraints on water supply. And water stress is predicted to increase because of continued abstraction and in some spots reduced replenishment due to climate change. Developing a water management programme requires consideration of local water availability and future water risk.

Strategy & Targets
Developing a water management strategy that’s linked to a clear business case and specific targets, which can include metrics such as water use reductions, wastewater discharge performance, and water recycling goals.

Footprinting
Quantifying water performance using international standards and developing key performance indicators to measure progress against targets.

Solutions
Developing and implementing solutions strategies including improved metering, water audits, water saving programmes and wastewater management solutions.
CASE STUDIES
Swire Pacific
RESET supported Swire Pacific to develop a water footprinting protocol to be used with the group’s operating companies to measure and report their water footprint and performance against water management goals.
American Eagle Outfitters
RESET worked with AEO to develop a Water Leadership Programme for their denim supply chain, which included a benchmarking system for manufacturers based on water performance data submitted through Higg FEM, ZDHC, and wastewater testing. The WLP covers a step-by-step improvement programme and a series of quantitative performance KPIs. RESET in partnership with Sustainable Textile Solutions continues to support the programme by working with suppliers on water audits, wastewater management services, and chemicals management services.
