At RESET we believe that a good strategy always begins with integrating the environmental value proposition into core business thinking. We work with customers to develop a compelling commercial business case for footprint reductions and then articulate measurable performance targets that can be used as the basis for driving and monitoring implementation.

Depending upon where the environmental impacts lie, we look into both corporate operations and supply chains. Please review our case studies below:

  • In 2013-2014 we worked with the management of fashion retailer Esprit to define environmental priorities for their supply chain. Leveraging the Higg Index and the Zero Discharge Group Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) audit protocols as baseline and benchmarking tools, we developed Factory-level Roadmaps to reduce the energy, water, and chemicals footprint of high impact denim suppliers. With four leading suppliers, we developed a financial model demonstrating that impact reductions delivered net cost savings of up to 1m USD per site, with an attractive return on investment.
  • In 2015-2017, we worked with Hong Kong University’s sustainability and operational leadership to develop campus-wide goals for energy, water, and waste. To secure capital for opportunities identified, we designed a Green Revolving Fund, which targets energy saving opportunities with a clear financial return.
  • Since 2014, we supported one of the world’s largest international law firms to develop and implement an environmental benchmarking and performance improvement programme across their global business. Key themes include office energy management, events management, paper management, and more sustainable refits.
