RESET Carbon and Made2Flow Launch Joint Webinar Series: Accounting for Facility-Level Decarbonization in Scope 3 Reporting

RESET Carbon is pleased to announce a new webinar co-hosted with Made2Flow. This session, “Accounting for Facility-Level Decarbonization in Scope 3 Reporting,” tackles a challenge that is becoming increasingly urgent for brands and their supply chains: why facility-level emissions reductions made by suppliers so often fail to appear in their buyers’ corporate Scope 3 reporting.

Why this matters now

As scrutiny of Scope 3 targets intensifies under the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard Version 2 and the GHG Protocol’s Scope 3 guidance undergoes revision, companies are under growing pressure to demonstrate that supplier engagement translates into measurable, reportable progress. Yet many suppliers investing in renewable energy, efficiency upgrades, and fuel switching at the facility level find these reductions don’t show up in their buying companies’ reported Scope 3 numbers, undermining the business case for continued investment and weakening the incentive for suppliers to decarbonize further.

What the session will cover

Drawing on RESET Carbon’s technical expertise in Scope 3 methodology and Made2Flow’s data infrastructure capabilities, the session will examine:

  • Why standard Scope 3 accounting methods (spend-based, average-data, supplier-specific) often fail to capture facility-level physical reductions made by suppliers
  • The root causes: data granularity gaps, allocation methodologies, and verification and traceability issues
  • How combining better data infrastructure with methodological rigor and verification can close the gap between suppliers’ real-world action and buyers’ reported outcomes

This session builds on the RESET Carbon x Made2Flow partnership, which brings together data infrastructure and technical rigor for a more complete approach to supplier decarbonization.
