Ralph Lauren’s newly published 2026 Global Citizenship & Sustainability Report names RESET Carbon as a partner in its supply chain electrification work, part of the brand’s broader Timeless by Design 2030 strategy.

The report credits the partnership specifically under its climate and decarbonization section, describing how RESET Carbon supports screening and prioritizing supplier facilities for hot water heat pump adoption, alongside technical evaluation, OEM engagement and implementation readiness.

Why electrification, and why now

Much of the apparel industry’s supply chain emissions come from thermal energy used in dyeing and finishing. For natural fiber processing in particular, that heat is typically delivered through hot water rather than the higher-temperature steam systems used for synthetic fibers, which makes heat pump electrification one of the more commercially mature levers available today.

Through the Carbon Leadership Program, in partnership with the Apparel Impact Institute, Ralph Lauren has expanded engagement to around 190 facilities, representing close to 60% of the brand’s raw material business spend. Within that group, initial screening has identified roughly 30 supplier facilities as well positioned for near-term heat pump adoption.

  • Facility screening and prioritization based on process fit and readiness
  • Feasibility assessments for hot water heat pump adoption
  • OEM engagement and technical evaluation support
  • Readiness planning for implementation

This kind of structured, facility-by-facility approach is core to how RESET Carbon supports supply chain decarbonization programs across the apparel, footwear and consumer goods retail industry, including through our NEXUS program for supplier engagement at scale.

The broader progress

Ralph Lauren also reported a 42% reduction in absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions against its FY20 baseline, driven primarily by the completion of its 2023-2025 coal phase-out program. The electrification work is described as building the foundation for the next phase of reductions, rather than the driver behind this year’s number, reflecting the multi-year nature of supply chain decarbonization work.
