Project Manager – Renewable Energy Transition, Shanghai

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Business development: support business development activities with local and international clients as well as own lead generation on the long run.
• Client network and liaison: building network with locally based corporates and manage client relationships. Support sales and marketing team with activities to enhance Reset Group, including act renewable’s, visibility in China.
• China knowledge management on renewable energy market: in close collaboration with RESET Carbon team and act renewable colleagues in Asia, follow up and updated regularly on regulatory and market development as well as practical experiences.
• Support delivery in China: work closely under the guidance of team lead and team members on multiple projects to enhance expert knowledge on renewable energy and ensure timely delivery to client in China.
• Report to Asia Team Leader and Delivery Lead on work and project progress, milestones achievement and client satisfaction.
• Support in knowledge management, sharing inputs for the development of tools and methodologies, to enable improved project execution and effective business development in China.

Skills & Capabilities:

• Be a degree holder in relevant discipline (e.g. environmental science, renewable energy, energy management, engineering, building services or economics), preferably with a MSc, MA or MEng.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a consultative manner with a track record of delivering practical solutions to domestic clients on relevant areas (e.g. renewable energy, energy efficiency, power company, electricity trading platform, photovoltaic industry). Experiences on corporate and supply chain decarbonizing is a plus.
• Good knowledge on renewable energy principles and China renewable energy market dynamics, e.g. regulatory mechanisms, business models, stakeholders in the energy sector
• Project management experience and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Passionate about solving renewable energy and environmental challenges with strong analytical capability and knowledge in corporate sustainability and trends at local and global levels.
• A motivated and independent character, capable of working both collaboratively and autonomously.
• Structured and logical mind-set, strong execution capabilities with clear attention to details.
• Good research and analytical skills.
• Conscientious and competent in terms of interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing and presentations skills, with the ability to present information with confidence to various stakeholders in a simplistic way.
• Language: native Chinese and business proficiency in English.
• Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
