The World Business Council for the Sustainable Development (WBCSD) established the Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT) in 2020 to accurately calculate Scope 3 emissions and achieve the transparency of emission information. PACT launched the Pathfinder Framework English guideline version 1.0 in 2021 and updated it to version 2.0 in 2023.
Selina Cheng, principal consultant of RESET Carbon Taiwan, is invited by Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD Taiwan) to serve as a reviewer of the Chinese publication of Guidance for the Accounting and Exchange of Product Life Cycle Emissions to assist in the translation of this guideline.
This guideline aims to provide a consistent calculation method, so that the product-level emission data can be safely exchanged between every technical solution supplier and data exchange networks, to make it possible to establish links between global value chains and industries to set up the primary emission data exchange network of products throughout the cradle-to-gate stages.
